The foundation of HPT Sports Solutions was built through lived experience, resilience, vision, and relentless pursuit of growth.
At the heart of HPT Sports Solutions its founder, Yohansey G. Williams, a passionate sports professional whose journey began on the tennis courts of Trinidad & Tobago and evolved into a lifelong mission to transform sport across the Caribbean and beyond.
For over 15 years, Yohansey represented Trinidad & Tobago internationally in tennis while simultaneously navigating the realities of entrepreneurship, leadership, business development, and organizational transformation.
From an early age, Yohansey was immersed in the world of competitive tennis — training, traveling, and representing Trinidad & Tobago throughout the Caribbean, South America, and Central America. His experiences on the circuit not only sharpened his athletic and coaching skills but also built the foundation for a network of regional and international relationships that remain active and influential to this day.
As a player, coach, and later a sport development leader, Yohansey witnessed first-hand both the potential and the challenges of the Caribbean sporting ecosystem. Competing in multiple regional championships and development events, he gained deep insight into the diverse infrastructure, athlete pathways, and management systems across nations — from the dynamic energy of Jamaica, Barbados, and the Dominican Republic, to the structured programs of Costa Rica, Colombia, and Panama.
These experiences gave him not only a regional presence but also a continental perspective on how sport can be used as a tool for growth, community, and opportunity.
Over time, Yohansey’s personal journey transitioned from performance to purpose from athlete and coach to consultant, strategist, and sport development advocate. The lessons learned through travel, competition, and collaboration became the blueprint for what would eventually become HPT Sports Consulting a brand rooted in Caribbean excellence yet connected to global expertise
